BMA Secretary First to Register for ICML

The Secretary of the British Medical Association, Dr E M Armstrong, emphasised the BMA’s commitment to the congress by becoming the first person to register.

Completing a registration form whose ink was barely dry, Dr Armstrong emphasised the BMA’s commitment to supporting the evidence based medicine movement by continuing to provide information and library services in support of the National Health Service. He said, "These are exciting and challenging times for the information and library profession. As doctors we will increasingly rely on access to quality information and library services, and 8ICML is an important milestone on the road to the electronic library".
