Searching Molecular Biology and Genetics information

This course covers basic concepts in molecular biology and genetics, including DNA structure and function, transcription, translation, mutation, and gene therapy. The class will reinforce vocabulary and search terminology (MeSH) and introduce participants to a variety of basic print and electronic resources available in the areas of molecular biology and genetics. The class will be taught through a combination of lecture, demonstration, and interactive group exercises. Relevant for librarians serving molecular researchers at academic institutions, research centers, hospitals, and industry (e.g., biopharmaceutical/biotechnolgy.)
