    Qualifications: BSc. (Botany Honors), MSc and MPhil. (Botany) from Delhi University; Associateship Science Information Documentation Sciences from INSDOC, New Delhi. 

     

    Presently: Senior Technical Director and Project Coordinator of the ICMR-NIC Centre for Biomedical Information [Indian MEDLARS Centre, IMC], the 17th International MEDLARS Centre.  The Center is catering to the information needs of the medical community from various Internet resources.  Under my leadership, the Center has launched the IndMED (bibliographic database of peer reviewed biomedical journals); medIND (full-text version of IndMED journals) and web-enabled Union Catalogue of Biomedical Periodicals databases. Recently, IMC has launched OpenMED@NIC, a International Open Archive for Biomedical and Allied Sciences. I have coordinated several training programmes for medical professionals/researchers in information retrieval techniques. In addition, I have participated in several national and internation al conferences including the Mednet 2003 conference at Geneva and Mednet 2004 at Buenos Aires on “Internet and Health for All”.
