Najeeb M. A. Al-Shorbaji

Has been working for WHO since 1988 in different capacities and as a Regional Advisor for Health Information Management and Telecommunication for WHO Eastern Mediterranean Region until 2004. Since October 2004 he has been working as Coordinator for Knowledge Management and Sharing in EMRO. He is from Jordan, holds a PhD in Information Sciences since 1986.

He coordinates all information and knowledge management functions including language services, publishing and production. He is responsible for development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Regional Programme on Health Information Management and Telecommunications in the areas of health informatics, medical librarianship, health and biomedical literature, electronic publishing, medical records, telecommunications and telemedicine. 

He is a member of a number national and international professional societies and associations specialised in information management and health informati cs. He has authored over 70 research papers and articles presented in various conferences and published in professional journals.
