The poster shows searching for evidence for nursing and allied health professionals using primary and secondary sources. Primary sources include research articles; secondary sources include systematic reviews, standards of practice, clinical consensus, practice guidelines, etc.  The technique for comprehensive searching of the literature in bibliographic databases is outlined. An algorithm of the ideal search strategy is included with the scope and coverage of the CINAHL (the Nursing and Allied Health) database and other appropriate bibliographic databases and Web resources. The evaluation of sources and the literature retrieved is shown.
