P123 - Guide of Citizenship to Health Services: integrating local flux of information with legislation and techno-scientific databases

We propose to develop a “Guide of Citizenship” to be available for workers and users of health services as a tool to their empowerment and to enhance the collective intelligence of the communities under their care.
Basically, it is an on line guide composed by a large range of services and institutions that work to grant civil, political and social rights. Its goal is to induce the health workers toward an approach of the patient’s rights and to help them to find information about those services and institutions.
Besides these intentions, the originality of this guide is the way it is constructed. In fact, what we are offering is a methodology and a technology to make it up. The methodology makes possible to draw the cartography of a local based network of services and institutions. The digital technology makes possible to integrate this ensemble of local information with large databases, which information are valid for all the country and for general use.
Briefly, what we are proposin g to develop is a model of a guide to be fulfilled by any local health actor with information locally valid. But the system allows the integration of this local information with large general databases about, for instance, national legislation or technological and scientific information regarding that topic found in the guide.
This project points to the development of a Virtual Library on Health and Citizenship, providing a valorous tool to the local development of “Guides of Citizenship” to SUS (Brazilian Unified Health System).
