In order to ensure quality to the products and services offered, the User Studies has been considered to be a supportive tool to the maintenance of an effective information system used by professionals in the health sector. This subject was chosen because of the focus which is given to the user as an active participant in the creation of knowledge, taking into consideration all features involved in the growth of the need for information, the individual’s behaviour when looking for information, and its consequently usage.

During the analysis of the available literature, a blank to be filled was observed, and so, this present work intends that. Through the convergence of concepts as: “the value received has to be similar to the value expected” and “the user rarely searches for the information in itself, because it gives support to the process of decision-taking”, this work intend to fill this blank, giving emphasis to the creation of control and permanent evaluation in the use of the inf ormation supplied and the generated product, so that we will be able to answer questions such as: What kind of use is given to what is supplied? What are the consequences to this use? Does the result of the information process demand more information?
