Are we all Chacrinha? Reflections about communication in health based on the evidence

This article presents some reflections on the necessity of information to monitor the actions of communication in the health organizations. By means of two examples; the launching of the World Health Report of the World Health Organization in 2000 and the communication strategy of the Brazilian Health department between 1996 and 2000 we conclude that more than the intuition evidences are necessary to reach results in health communication.
