The proposal of this work is the standardization of the technician-scientific information, produced in the scope of this University, specifically in the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the University of Sao Paulo (ICB/USP), that it requires, in this area, a careful analysis of the adopted scientific language. However, it was opted to if structuralizing a publication in accordance with the Techniques Norms of the Brazilian Association (ABNT), the Norm Technique of Vancouver (Requisite Uniforms for Manuscripts/International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) and other Norms Techniques for specific purposes. This entitled document & quot;Lines of direction for Presentation of Dissertations and Thesis of the ICB/USP & quot;, guides and supplies subsidies to the after-graduation pupils elaboration of its normalized works, already established for other Units USP, but with standards adapted for the biomedical area. To leave of this publication, folders of spreading was confectioned, simplified, with examples of bibliographical references in accordance with Norms Vancouver and ABNT, elaborated separately and available in the ICB/USP for the secretariats of Post-Graduation and the Service of Customer service of the Library. The cooperation is the essential factor for the development and integration of the individual in the society. To inform and to offer efficient ways to this integration are a social duty. Our objective in this area is to serve in such a way intellectual as professionally. This is the social and cultural function of the Librarian.
