In this work we present the description and implementation of the Virtual Library of Health Sciences Education (BVS-Educ) and the Medical Education Support Network (RAEM), consisting of the information units from Brazilian educational institutions in the health area, initially by the medical schools, represented from their local teams, actors in health education. This work considers reflections on the legitimation of these projects based on the concept of collective intelligences from Pierry Levý. In this sense, it presents the Librarian as a professional whom assumes the paper of mediator between the medical education, and its actors (professors, students and researchers), and the scientific inquiry, as orienting, in the identification and collection of scientific information, participating of the didactic-pedagogical processes, in the practical and the experimental ones. This action as interface between actors can represent a strategy to stimulate the integration of the Librarian as a primordial actor in the process of transformation of medical education following the quarrels that are being treated currently between the schools. It also presents, as resulted concrete of the experience of construction of the RAEM and the BVS-Educ, the proposal to increment of the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) from the LILACS/BIREME methodology, in the specific area of & quot;health education & quot;, bringing up to date and extending the specific terminology for the indexation and recovery of scientific publications in Health Sciences Education, contributing for the improvement of the description of its contents, facilitating the recovery and still, making possible the bibliographical control of the area.
