An assessment about the progress in the National Centre of Scientific Informat ion in Hygiene and Epidemiology in made in the latest years regarding the provision of services and the introduction of new technologies, utilization of electronic support as tool for automation and telecommunications to the libraries realm, the creation of high added value information products to speed up process allowing users to have access to a larger amount of relevant and reliable information from anywhere.
The backgrounds about the development of CNIC-HE (National Centre of Scientific Information in Hygiene and Epidemiology), main results obtained in the last 5 years and the infrastructure available at CNIC-HE are provided in details.
